AGROECO Group of Companies has received two new statuses in the pedigree livestock breeding

Respective decree of the Ministry of Agriculture was signed on May 25 and published on the official website of this federal agency.

According to the new list of types of organizations for pedigree livestock breeding, AGROECO Group has renewed its status of Yorkshire pig breeding farm for another 5 years. Similar statuses for Landrace and Duroc breeds are already in effect. Thus, the Company has confirmed its right to breed and sell pedigree animals of these three breeds.

Moreover, the Company has received a new status as an organization for artificial insemination of farm animals. It will be able to sell seed from stud boars not only in the Russian Federation, but also in the CIS countries.

“We are the second national company to receive status of an organization for artificial insemination, and it`s a great achievement of our specialists, a result of their hard work, said Vladimir Maslov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGROECO Group. In 2020, we have sold more than 27.5 thousand doses for all three breeds. There is consistently high demand for our products. We have customers both in neighboring and far away regions: Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Buryatia, and so on.”

AGROECO genetic selection center operates since January 2017 in Buturlinovsky District in Voronezh Oblast. High quality of products is ensured by the use of state-of-the-art technologies and modern methods of accounting, identification, performance control and assessment of the animal breeding value.
