Government of Voronezh region inspected implementation progress of AGROECO`s investment projects


Deputy Governor – First Deputy Chair of the regional government Vitaly Shabalatov – has appraised investment projects of AGROECO Group of Companies in Pavlovsk and Verkhnemamonsk districts. He was instructed to do that by the order of the Head of the Region, Aleksandr Gusev.

In Verkhnemamonsk district, in Nizhny Mamon village Vice Governor was showed a dairy farm. Company has bought it from a small farm. Within an year farm was fully remodeled. Its manager Oleg Maslov, member of AGROECO GC`s Board of Directors, said that corporation mostly focuses on pig breeding, so dairy farm in Nizhny Mamon is an essentially new project.

“We bought this farm one year and a half ago. It was a farm with low production cows. Milk yields were small,” told us Oleg Maslov. “We carried out remodeling, full retrofit of seven buildings, installed new equipment, replaced cattle. Yields have nearly doubled. Now we have 700 animals and produce almost 6.5t of milk per day.”

When appearance of AGROECO, salary and number of workers on the farm has also grown.

“We, being the socially responsible company, comply with all our obligations. We strive to have local citizens work on the farm. We employ personal from other regions only when there is a demand for highly narrow skills,” emphasized Oleg Maslov.

“Though the Company has focused specialization, I support decision of its management to increase number of animals on this dairy farm,” summarized Vitaly Shabalatov.

In Pavlovsk region, Vice Governor visited Advanced Social and Economic Area “Pavlovsk”. Here AGROECO GC builds meat processing plant. At the end of 2020 construction of main production facilities and infrastructure should be finished, and commissioning works will start. Launch of the plant is planned for the first quarter in 2021.

Total sum of investments is 13 bln 150 mln rubles. Planned capacity – 600 animals per hour, 3.2 mln animals annually. The Company intends to create 2230 jobs.

“Some infrastructure facilities are finished – power center, waste treatment facilities, water-intake facility, power transmission lines. This is quite a large project not only for the region, but for the whole country,” explained Oleg Maslov.
AGROECO GC prepares for launch of new pig farms in Osetrovka and Gorokhovka villages in Verkhnemamon district. According to the head of local administration, Nikolai Bykov, at first local citizens were opposed to these projects – they were afraid of unpleasant aromas, harm to environment. But they have changed their opinion since the investor finances public improvements, community infrastructure, provides help for some families.

Construction of one of the sites will start on November 15. Planned duration is 14 months. Implementation of the second project will start in 2021.
